In a shocking incident from Sonipat, Haryana, an elderly mother-in-law has accused her daughter-in-law of beating her for eating an extra roti. This disturbing event took place in Sandal Khurd village. The elderly woman claims she was attacked by her daughter-in-law, Manisha, for eating more than one roti brought by her son.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing a woman beating her elderly mother-in-law. The video quickly went viral, prompting the police to register a case based on the elderly woman’s complaint. The police have filed charges against Manisha, her mother, and her brother but have yet to make any arrests.
In her complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the 75-year-old woman explained that her daughter-in-law, Manisha, usually gives her two rotis twice a day. Five days ago, her three-year-old grandson brought her an extra roti, which she ate. Since then, Manisha has allegedly been beating her.
The elderly woman stated that when her son, Mukesh, confronted his wife about the assault, Manisha not only continued to beat her but also got into a fight with her husband. Distressed by the ongoing abuse, the elderly woman approached the SSP on Saturday, seeking protection.
The SSP has referred the case to the Mahila police station for further investigation. The elderly woman hopes that the authorities will take swift action to protect her from further harm.
This incident highlights the need for greater awareness and intervention in cases of domestic violence, especially involving vulnerable elderly individuals. The ongoing investigation will determine the next steps in ensuring justice and safety for the victim.
