Woman Sets Husband on Fire in Sanwer After Heated Argument
In a shocking incident in Guran village, under the Sanwer tehsil of Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, a 40-year-old man was set on fire by his wife during a domestic quarrel on Friday night, September 16.
The victim, Prahlad Borana, reported to the police that the argument with his wife, Krishnabai, escalated to a violent confrontation. In a fit of anger, Krishnabai allegedly poured kerosene from the stove she was using and set Prahlad on fire using a matchstick.
Hearing his screams, Krishnabai reportedly attempted to extinguish the flames and save him. Despite her efforts, Prahlad sustained 30% burn injuries. He was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
Sanwer police station in-charge Mohan Malviya stated, “A case has been registered against the woman under Section 308 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to commit culpable homicide). Efforts are underway to detain her for further investigation.”
This incident highlights the severe consequences of domestic violence and the importance of conflict resolution in relationships.
