Incident Details
The victim, Balaji Shivbhagat, a construction businessman from Shahapur, had been in a relationship with Bhoir for several years. On June 28, 2023, Bhoir asked Shivbhagat to meet her on the Atgaon highway in Shahapur, where she requested gifts, including gold jewelry and other items. While they were talking, four men, allegedly Bhoir’s accomplices, appeared, assaulted Shivbhagat, and took him to a closed restaurant where they continued the assault until morning.

Shivbhagat, who was hospitalized for two days after the incident, said, “I did everything for her, built a house she wanted, and showered her with gifts. She betrayed me for another man and brutally attacked me.”
The accused not only assaulted him but also took away his gold chains, seven rings, and other valuables. They even threw chili powder in his eyes before fleeing. Shivbhagat managed to reach the police station and was later taken to the hospital by his friends.
