A 28-year-old woman named Aarti Rajput from Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly assaulted her younger brother after he interrupted her while she was recording an Instagram reel. Following the altercation, the teenager filed a complaint against his sister at the local police station.
Upon receiving the complaint, female police officers visited their residence to investigate. However, the situation escalated when Rajput reportedly behaved aggressively towards the police, leading to her arrest. At the police station, she allegedly continued to misbehave and verbally abuse the officers.
According to the brother, Rajput, who has a habit of making Instagram reels, became furious when he prevented her from filming that day. She purportedly assaulted him and attempted to strangle him during the altercation.
Police have registered a case against Rajput under several sections, including 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from duty), 352 (assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), and 224 (resistance or obstruction by a person to his lawful apprehension).
