Wife and In-Laws Brutally Assault Man with Red Chilli Powder on Genitals
In a horrific incident from April 2022, a young man living in Thana, Lakhanmajra area, was brutally assaulted by his brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. The man’s only fault was arguing with his wife. Following the argument, the wife called her mother, sister, and two brothers, who then attacked the man.
The man’s hands and legs were tied, he was beaten with sticks, and red chilli powder was applied to his genitals. After sustaining severe injuries, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation. The victim, who lives in a village, reported that he married a woman from Jind 12 years ago. Shortly after the marriage, his wife left him. After 12 years, she returned, and when he asked her why she came back, an argument ensued. The wife then called her family members, who assaulted him upon arrival.
Neighbors intervened and rescued the man. He is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
