Man Dragged on Car Bonnet for 3 km by Woman in Bengaluru

In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a woman dragged a man sitting on her SUV’s bonnet for more than 3 km. The incident occurred on Ullal Main Road near Jnanabharathi at around 10:15 a.m. on Friday.

Incident Overview

The Bengaluru Police arrested the woman for allegedly dragging 29-year-old Darshan S. The man and the woman, identified as Priyanka, have been booked in separate cases filed by the Jnana Bharathi police.

Darshan’s Complaint

According to Darshan, he was driving his Maruti Swift when he confronted Priyanka for not stopping her Tata Nixon at a red light. In his complaint, Darshan stated, “When I questioned her, she showed me a vulgar sign and abused me.” Darshan then followed and intercepted her car.

Darshan further alleged that someone stripped his shirt and assaulted him. When the police arrived, they instructed everyone to go to the police station. Priyanka, however, refused and stayed in her car. Darshan stood in front of the vehicle to prevent her from leaving. Priyanka then allegedly started her car, causing Darshan to fall onto the bonnet. She drove for 3-4 km before locals intervened and stopped the vehicle.

Charges Against Priyanka

A case has been filed against Priyanka, her husband Pramod, and her friend Nithish under various sections of the IPC, including:

  • Section 506: Criminal intimidation
  • Section 279: Rash driving
  • Section 307: Attempt to murder
  • Section 323: Voluntarily causing hurt

Pramod’s Complaint

In a separate complaint, Priyanka’s husband Pramod accused Darshan of abusing his wife and attempting to damage their car. Pramod claimed that Darshan and his friends tried to break the car’s windows.

Pramod stated, “When we tried to leave, Darshan jumped and sat on the car. We were scared and drove to Sankalpa Hospital and stopped.”

Charges Against Darshan

Darshan has been booked under multiple sections of the IPC, including:

  • Section 354B: Criminal force against a woman with intent to disrobe
  • Section 427: Mischief causing damage
  • Section 506: Criminal intimidation
  • Section 341: Wrongful restraint
  • Section 504: Provocation to break public peace
  • Section 143: Unlawful assembly
  • Section 149: Unlawful assembly with common object
  • Section 323: Voluntarily causing hurt
  • Section 324: Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means
  • Section 354: Outraging the modesty of a woman

This dramatic road rage incident has led to multiple charges against both parties, highlighting the severity of the confrontation.
