Man Files Domestic Violence Complaint Against Wife in Rajasthan
In a rare turn of events, a man from Alwar, Rajasthan, has accused his wife of domestic violence. Ajit Singh, a teacher, lodged the complaint, sharing CCTV footage showing his wife beating him with a cricket bat. The videos have gone viral on social media.
Ajit, married for nine years, alleged that his wife has been physically abusing him for the past year without any reason. The couple has an 8-year-old son. Ajit stated that he remained silent for the sake of his son but decided to speak up when the abuse escalated.
The local court has directed the police to provide security for Ajit and investigate the case. “We have summoned his wife for her statement,” said Vipin Sharma, the Additional Superintendent of Police at Bhiwadi, Alwar. The court has asked for a report on the case by June 7th.
In the viral video, Ajit’s wife, Suman, is seen beating him with a cricket bat in front of their son. Ajit claims his brother-in-law is also instigating his wife to commit violence. “I tolerated it because of my son, but now my wife has crossed the line,” Ajit said in his complaint.
This case highlights a significant issue and emphasizes the need for attention to domestic violence against men.
