A shocking incident from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has left the city in disbelief. A 30-year-old man, Amith Rathod, was brutally stabbed to death on Saturday after he opposed the harassment of a mentally unstable individual.
The Incident
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed with Gomtipur police, Amith Rathod intervened when he noticed four individuals harassing a mentally unstable man in his neighborhood. His brave act, however, led to a violent confrontation.
The four accused, identified as Naresh Gathiyo, Ramesh Makkhi, Gautam Chavda, and Jay Chino, attacked Rathod, stabbing him multiple times. Despite efforts, Rathod succumbed to his injuries.
Police Action
The Gomtipur police quickly launched an investigation and arrested all four accused. The case highlights the risks faced by individuals who take a stand against injustice but also underlines the need for societal change to protect vulnerable individuals.
