Woman Robs Boyfriend and Leaves Him Naked on Shahapur Highway
In a shocking incident in Thane, Maharashtra, a 30-year-old woman named Bhavika Bhoir, along with four accomplices, allegedly looted her boyfriend of valuables worth lakhs and brutally assaulted him, leaving him naked on Shahapur highway.
The police have booked all five individuals under IPC sections 365 (kidnapping or abduction with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person) and 506 (criminal intimidation), along with sections of the Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Two of the accused have been identified as Bhavika Bhoir and Nadim Khan. According to the police, the victim, Balaji Shivbhagat, a construction business owner from Shahapur, had been in a relationship with Bhoir for several years.
On June 28, Bhoir invited Shivbhagat to meet her at a location on Atgaon highway in Shahapur around 4:30 PM. While they were talking, four of Bhoir’s associates suddenly appeared and assaulted Shivbhagat through the night, leaving him naked on Shahapur highway early the next morning.
Shivbhagat, who was hospitalized for two days and is still recovering, said, “I did everything for her, built a small house as per her wish, and shopped for her all the time. She betrayed me for another man and brutally assaulted me.”
Bhoir had asked him to meet her with various gifts, including a sari, gold earrings, gold anklets and bangles, new shoes, and an umbrella. When Shivbhagat arrived with the gifts, Bhoir got into his car and took them. Suddenly, four men entered the car, attacked Shivbhagat with a chopper, and one of them drove the car away.
The assailants took Shivbhagat to an unknown, closed restaurant and continued to assault him until morning. Rajkumar Upase, senior inspector at Shahapur police station, said, “In his statement, the victim mentioned that the attackers took a video after stripping him, stole his two gold chains and seven rings, and threw chili powder in his eyes before fleeing around 5 AM.”
After the ordeal, Shivbhagat managed to reach the police station and called his friends, who then admitted him to the hospital.
The police are investigating the case and have launched a search for the remaining accused.
