Woman Posts Ex-Partner’s Obscene Pictures on Daughter’s School Website in Revenge

A 42-year-old woman in Mumbai is facing legal action for posting her married ex-partner’s obscene pictures on his 14-year-old daughter’s school website. This act of revenge followed their breakup.

A sessions court rejected her anticipatory bail plea, highlighting the trauma inflicted on the young girl who found her father’s intimate pictures with another woman on the school’s website.

The man involved stated that he met the woman at a gym in south Mumbai, and they began an affair despite his marital status and having a daughter. Over time, he gifted her expensive items, including three diamond rings and a watch. However, conflicts arose as the woman pressured him to divorce his wife and marry her, leading to frequent quarrels.

The man claimed that the woman started blackmailing him with their intimate pictures. He tried to sever ties by changing his contact number multiple times, but she continued to harass him, even visiting his home. After she allegedly posted the obscene pictures on his daughter’s school website, he filed an FIR with the police.

The woman was charged with various offenses under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act. The court emphasized that while the woman and her ex-partner could continue their disputes, she had no right to disturb the peace and well-being of his daughter and family.

The court noted that the woman’s actions could have severe consequences for the girl’s image, career, and future. Refusing to grant her any relief, the court stated that her behavior indicated a high likelihood of further damaging actions if she were allowed bail. The investigation would likely be hindered if the application were approved.

This case underscores the serious repercussions of using technology for personal vendettas and the importance of protecting children from such traumatic experiences.
