A tragic incident unfolded in Gopalganj, Bihar, where a woman and her lover plotted and carried out the murder of her husband with the help of hired killers. The woman, identified as Noorjahan Khatoon, started an affair while her husband, Ish Mohammad, was working abroad. Upon his return, he discovered the affair and began to confront his wife, trying to stop her actions.
The affair began when Noorjahan was introduced to Naushad Alam, a man from the nearby Bathua Bazar locality. As her husband resumed his fish business upon his return, he learned of her relationship with Alam. This led to growing tension between the couple, and Ish Mohammad tried to prevent her from continuing the affair.
Facing resistance from her husband, Noorjahan decided to eliminate him. She conspired with her lover Naushad Alam to hire contract killers. Alam approached Mansoor Alam from Balepur village and Parvez Ansari to carry out the murder. The two killers were paid ₹50,000 to execute the plan.
On a fateful night in Ladhpur village, under the Sripur police outpost, Mansoor Alam and Parvez Ansari arrived at Ish Mohammad’s house and shot him while he slept outside. Noorjahan watched the murder unfold from a window in her home.
The local police launched an investigation, with Noorjahan emerging as the prime suspect. During interrogation, she confessed to the crime and revealed the details of the plot. The police have arrested Noorjahan, her lover Naushad Alam, and the two hired killers.
Authorities also seized a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, five mobile phones, and a bike from the accused.
