A woman was arrested in Vijayawada for attacking a bus driver of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) near Andhra Hospitals on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when the woman, driving her two-wheeler in the wrong direction, approached the hospital.
The bus driver noticed her driving towards him and politely asked her to wait for the bus to pass. Instead of complying, the woman became aggressive and started arguing with the driver. The situation escalated when she verbally abused the driver and physically attacked him.
Despite attempts by the bus conductor and passengers to intervene, their efforts were unsuccessful. The police were informed by the bus conductor, and they quickly arrived at the scene. The woman was then taken into custody.
Inspector Ramayya confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the bus driver. The woman is now facing legal charges under the relevant sections of the law.
