A shocking and tragic incident has come to light from Kundakhali village in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas, where a woman allegedly killed her 4-year-old son because her boyfriend refused to accept the child when they planned to elope.
According to reports, the woman, Mafuza Piadai, was in an extra-marital relationship with Abdul Hossain Sheikh (31) from Ghazir Hat, Kultali, for over a year. Her husband, Toeb Ali Piadai, was working in Kolkata, which gave the woman and her lover several chances to meet secretly.
On Tuesday, the couple decided to run away and get married. However, Abdul allegedly told Mafuza he would not accept the child or take him along if they eloped. This led Mafuza to take a drastic and horrifying step.
The child was last seen playing on the veranda of his house. Later that evening, villagers found the child’s body and informed his uncle, Abu Siddiqui Piadai, who had just returned from work.
“We heard that the child was being tortured for days, and when the boyfriend refused to take him along, he was brutally beaten to death,” said the uncle.
Local residents recovered the child’s body and informed the police. Inspector Masood Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Baruipur, confirmed the child had serious injuries, suggesting a violent and deliberate attack.
Both Mafuza and Abdul are now missing, and the police are actively searching for them. Authorities have also informed the child’s father, who is expected to file a formal complaint at the Baruipur Police Station.
Police investigations are ongoing to bring justice for the innocent child.
