Uttar Pradesh Advocate Dies by Suicide, Leaves Note Blaming Wife and Mother-in-Law

In a tragic incident from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a 30-year-old advocate named Ratnesh Valmiki allegedly died by suicide at his home in Aliganj. He left behind a four-page emotional note, where he blamed his wife and mother-in-law for his death.

Ratnesh lived with his parents, wife, young daughter, and two brothers in the Mehendi Tola area. According to Syed Abbas Ali, the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Aliganj, Ratnesh was found hanging from a window grill using a saree. His mother discovered the situation when she knocked on his door and got no response. She then called his elder brother, Mukesh, who broke the door open.

Ratnesh was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The suicide note reportedly read, “Papa, I love you. In my next birth, I will do something meaningful. Please forgive me. My wife and her mother are responsible for me taking this step.”

The police are now investigating the case. Handwriting experts will analyze the note to confirm if it was indeed written by Ratnesh. Until then, the note will not be officially treated as a suicide letter.

ACP Abbas said, “We have recorded statements from family members to understand the reason behind his decision. If anyone files a formal complaint, we will take further legal action.”

This case has once again raised concerns about mental health, family pressure, and the need for emotional support.
