Gurugram Woman Arrested for False Rape Allegation and Rs 10 Lakh Extortion Attempt

A woman in Gurugram has been arrested for falsely accusing a man of rape and attempting to extort Rs 10 lakh from him. The incident unfolded after both parties filed complaints at the Gurugram Sector 40 police station.

Legal Action: Based on the evidence, the man submitted a written complaint against the woman. Following an inquiry, the police charged the woman under Section 389 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for committing extortion by putting a person in fear of accusation of an offense.
