IIT-JEE Aspirant from UP Killed by Fellow Students in Kota After Argument

IIT-JEE Aspirant from UP Beaten to Death in Kota by Fellow Students

In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old IIT-JEE aspirant named Satyaveer, also known as Raunak, was allegedly beaten to death by fellow students in Kota, Rajasthan.

The tragic event happened on the night of Monday, November 11, in the Indira Vihar area, near a tea stall. A fight broke out between Satyaveer and some other students. During the argument, the other students reportedly attacked him with iron rods and chains.

Satyaveer was from Karmakar village in Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Tarkeshwar Singh, a vendor, had sent him to Kota about one and a half years ago for IIT-JEE coaching.

After the attack, Satyaveer returned to his room, but his health got worse during the night. His roommates helped take him to a hospital, where he died early on Tuesday morning.

Family in Shock

Satyaveer’s father received a call from Kota police informing him about his son’s death. Shortly after, his wife Reema, who lived in Kota with Raunak, also confirmed the tragic news.

Tarkeshwar Singh expressed his deep sorrow, saying he had sent his only son to prepare for engineering entrance exams, but now had to return with his son’s dead body.

Investigation Underway

Police said eight students were allegedly involved in the attack. So far, six of them have been identified, and a case has been registered under the relevant legal sections.

Bhiwani Singh, the Circle Officer of Kota, confirmed the details of the incident and said investigations are ongoing.

Satyaveer was earlier a student at Sarasvati Vidya Mandir in Gorakhpur. After passing his High School, he went to Kota to prepare for the IIT-JEE.

His father is demanding that the accused be charged with murder.

Community in Mourning

The village head, Ramesh Kushwaha, expressed grief and said the entire village is mourning the loss of a young, bright student who had dreams of becoming an engineer.
