Delhi Woman Bites Off Husband’s Ear in Sultanpuri Amid Domestic Fight
A shocking case of domestic violence was reported in Delhi’s Sultanpuri, where a woman bit off her husband’s right ear during an argument. The 45-year-old man had to undergo surgery after losing a portion of his ear.
Incident Details
The altercation took place on November 20 when the husband stepped out to throw garbage. According to his statement, he asked his wife to clean the house, which led to an argument. The wife allegedly demanded that he sell their house and give her a share so she could live separately with their children.
As the argument escalated, she reportedly attempted to hit him. When he tried to leave the house, she grabbed him from behind and, in a fit of rage, bit his right ear so hard that the upper portion was severed. Their son immediately took him to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangolpuri for medical treatment.
Police Investigation
The police received information about the attack from the hospital and sent a team to investigate. However, the victim was initially too unwell to give a statement. On November 22, he approached the police and filed a written complaint.
Based on his complaint, the police registered an FIR against the woman under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means). The investigation is ongoing.
