Woman Claims She Was Coerced into Filing False Sexual Abuse Case Against MP Prajwal Revanna
A woman who filed a sexual abuse case against MP Prajwal Revanna now claims she was forced to file a false complaint. Revanna, an MP from Karnataka’s Hassan, has been accused of abusing around 2,900 women.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) reports that one of the women who accused Revanna was coerced into making the false claim. This revelation could significantly impact Revanna’s defense, regardless of whether these new claims are fabricated or true.
According to the NCW, the woman approached them to file a complaint against three men “dressed in civilian clothes” who claimed to be from the Karnataka police. She reported receiving numerous calls from unknown numbers pressuring her to file the complaint against Revanna. It has been revealed that a group of individuals forced her to file the harassment charges.
Several media reports indicate that the woman has sought protection for her family due to these events.
Additionally, the NCW has denied reports that 700 women filed complaints against Prajwal Revanna with the commission.
This new testimony could potentially shift the narrative in Revanna’s favor as the case progresses. The implications of this claim might influence public perception and legal proceedings concerning the MP’s alleged actions.
As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen how this development will impact the overall case against Prajwal Revanna.
