In a shocking incident from Faridabad, a 22-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by four men, including his friend, in an OYO hotel at Chimni Bai Chowk on Friday night. The main accused, Rakesh Sherawat, who was a friend of the victim, claimed that the hotel belonged to a friend of his.
According to the victim’s statement, Rakesh called him, pretending to suffer from severe chest pain. Initially, the victim hesitated as he was occupied with other tasks, but Rakesh insisted, pleading that his condition was worsening. Concerned about his friend’s health, the victim decided to visit him at the hotel.
After arriving and spending some time at the hotel, Rakesh offered him a cold drink. Upon drinking it, the victim started to feel dizzy and became immobile. Rakesh then asked the victim to undress, but he resisted. Despite his objections, Rakesh forcibly removed his clothes and called three other men into the room. The victim soon lost consciousness.
When the victim regained consciousness the next morning, he felt severe pain in his private areas and attempted to flee. However, Rakesh seized his phone and contacted a family member, specifically his brother’s mother-in-law, demanding a ransom for his release.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the victim jumped off the hotel balcony. A group of people near a tea stall saw him and directed him to the nearest police station. Despite the gravity of the situation, when the victim reported the incident, the officer in charge did not register the complaint and instead blamed the victim for the assault. The victim was kept waiting at the station for over an hour.
Later, the police arrested Rakesh Sherawat but placed both the victim and the accused in custody. The officers reportedly ignored the victim’s pleas. It wasn’t until nine hours later that the police notified the victim’s family, as his health was deteriorating. The family immediately took him to the hospital.
Now, the victim and his family are calling for a thorough investigation and strict action against all the accused involved in the brutal crime. They are demanding justice and accountability from the authorities for the mishandling of the case.
