In a tragic incident from New Town, West Bengal, an IT employee ended his life by jumping from the 14th floor of a high-rise building. The victim, identified as Rajarshi Dutt, was 34 years old and worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Originally from Siliguri, Rajarshi had been living in a rented flat in the Eden Court building in New Town.
According to police reports, early in the morning, security personnel heard a loud noise and soon discovered Rajarshi lying in a pool of blood. They immediately informed the police, who quickly arrived at the scene and rushed him to Bidhannagar sub-hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
It is suspected that Rajarshi was battling severe depression following the recent loss of his father six months ago. The police from New Town Technocity station have launched an investigation to fully understand the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
