“Woman Allegedly Sets Husband on Fire in Sanwer, Indore: Details”

Late on Friday night (16th September), a 40-year-old man was reportedly set on fire by his wife following a dispute between them in Guran village, Sanwer tehsil, Indore district, Madhya Pradesh. The victim, Prahlad Borana, informed the police that an argument escalated into violence, prompting his wife, Krishnabai, to pour kerosene from the cooking stove on him. She then ignited the fuel with a matchstick.

As Prahlad shouted for help, Krishnabai attempted to extinguish the flames, but he had already suffered severe burn injuries covering 30 percent of his body. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Mohan Malviya, the in-charge of Sanwer police station, stated, “A case has been registered against the woman under section 308 for attempt to commit culpable homicide, and efforts are underway to apprehend her.”
