Thane Woman Robs and Assaults Boyfriend, Leaves Him Naked on Shahapur Highway
In a shocking case from Thane, Maharashtra, a 30-year-old woman, Bhavika Bhoir, along with four accomplices, robbed and brutally assaulted her boyfriend, Balaji Shivbhagat, before leaving him naked on Shahapur highway.
Incident Details
The victim, Balaji Shivbhagat, a construction businessman from Shahapur, was in a long-term relationship with Bhavika Bhoir. On June 28, Bhoir lured him to meet her on Atgaon Highway in Shahapur at around 4:30 PM.
- She asked him to bring expensive gifts, including a sari, gold earrings, gold anklets, bangles, shoes, and an umbrella.
- When Shivbhagat arrived with the gifts, Bhoir got into his car.
- Suddenly, four unknown men entered the vehicle, attacked him, and drove him to an abandoned restaurant.
- They assaulted him through the night and robbed him of two gold chains and seven rings.
- His clothes were removed, and the attackers threw chili powder in his eyes before leaving him on Shahapur highway at 5 AM.
Victim’s Ordeal
Shivbhagat managed to reach a police station and call his friends for help. He was then taken to the hospital, where he remained under treatment for two days.
The victim expressed shock and betrayal, stating,
“I did everything for her—built a house, fulfilled all her wishes, but she left me for another man and brutally assaulted me.”
Police Investigation
The Shahapur police have registered a case against five accused, including Bhavika Bhoir and Nadim Khan, under the following sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC):
- Section 365 – Kidnapping or abduction with intent to wrongfully confine a person
- Section 506 – Criminal intimidation
- Prevention of Atrocities Act
Senior inspector Rajkumar Upase confirmed that the accused filmed the victim after stripping him and then fled.
