In a shocking case from September 2021, Ghaziabad police arrested a woman for the murder of her 45-year-old husband. The wife, identified as Dilshadi alias Guddi, reportedly conspired with her lover, who was also her husband’s paternal uncle, to carry out the crime. After killing her husband, Anis, she filed a false missing person report, but the truth was uncovered when his body was discovered.
The case took a strange turn when her boyfriend, Jan Mohammad, fearing arrest, hanged himself after Anis’ body was found. The police revealed that the couple’s illicit relationship was the motive behind the murder.
Anis, a resident of Nahal village, had been reported missing a few days before his body was recovered in the Dhabarsi forest on September 11. The police investigation uncovered that the woman and her uncle-lover, Jan Mohammad, had plotted the murder. As part of the plan, the wife sent her husband to Hapur for work, where Jan Mohammad attacked him with a heavy object and killed him.
After Anis’ disappearance, Dilshadi filed a false complaint against her brother-in-law, trying to cover her tracks. However, suspicion arose when she quickly led the police to the exact location of the body. Upon checking her phone records, the police discovered hours-long calls between her and Jan Mohammad, exposing their affair and their involvement in the murder.
Dilshadi was arrested after the police confirmed her role in the murder conspiracy.
