In Gopalganj, Bihar, a shocking incident unfolded as a woman hired hitmen to murder her husband with the help of her lover. The woman, Noorjahan Khatoon, and her boyfriend, Naushad Alam, planned the murder after Noorjahan’s husband discovered her extra-marital affair.
The incident occurred on Sunday night in Ladhpur village under the Sripur police outpost. Noorjahan’s husband, Ish Mohammad, had gone abroad for work. During his absence, Noorjahan started an affair with Naushad Alam, who lived in Bathua Bazar. When Ish Mohammad returned and started a fish business, he found out about the affair and began creating obstacles for Noorjahan.
To eliminate her husband, Noorjahan conspired with her lover. Naushad hired Mansoor Alam from Balepur village and Parvez Ansari as contract killers, offering them Rs 50,000 to kill Ish Mohammad. On the night of the murder, Mansoor and Parvez shot Ish Mohammad while he was sleeping outside the house, with Noorjahan watching from a window.
The police carried out an investigation, and Noorjahan emerged as a prime suspect. During interrogation, she confessed to the conspiracy. The police arrested Naushad Alam and the two hitmen. They also seized a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, five mobile phones, and a bike from their possession.
SP Swarn Prabhat stated, “Noorjahan hatched the conspiracy to eliminate her husband. Her lover hired contract killers, and they executed the plan while Noorjahan watched from the window. Our investigation led to the arrests and recovery of weapons and other items.”
This incident highlights the lengths to which individuals may go when driven by illicit relationships and greed.
