Woman Discovers Husband Is Gay After 3 Years of Marriage, Files Complaint

A 29-year-old woman from Shivamogga, Karnataka, recently filed a police complaint after discovering that her husband was gay. She accused him of cheating and domestic violence under IPC Sections 498A, 420, and 34.

Marriage and Discovery

The couple got married in 2020. However, after two years of marriage, the woman did not conceive, which led to questions from her family. While her husband insisted on medical tests for her, he never showed physical interest in her.

She alleged that whenever she approached him for intimacy, he made unreasonable excuses. Despite concerns about their relationship compatibility, her husband did not disclose his sexual orientation.

Failed IVF and Social Media Evidence

The couple even attempted In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), but it failed. Doubting her husband’s behavior, the woman checked his social media and discovered that he was gay.

When she confronted him, she claimed he assaulted her, forcing her to leave him and return to her parents’ home.

Threats and Legal Action

After she left, her husband and his family tried to convince her to return, but she refused. She also stated in her complaint that he threatened to take his own life.

The police have registered a case under:

IPC Section 498A (domestic violence)
IPC Section 420 (cheating)
IPC Section 34 (criminal acts done with common intent)

The case highlights marital fraud and emotional distress, raising questions about honesty in relationships and legal recourse for affected spouses.
