Woman Beats Six-Month-Old Daughter to Death After Husband Refuses New Clothes for Holi
In a heartbreaking incident from 2020, a 25-year-old woman in Aligarh’s Rampus village allegedly beat her six-month-old daughter to death after her husband refused to buy new clothes for Holi. The woman, Pinky Sharma, has been arrested.
According to the police, the tragic event occurred when Pinky’s husband, Rahul, refused to go to the market to buy new clothes for her and their children due to feeling unwell. An argument ensued, and in a fit of rage, Pinky took out her frustration on her daughter, Soni, leading to the child’s death.
Rahul reported the incident to the police, and Pinky has been charged with murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Jawan police station.
Station Incharge Naresh Kumar Singh stated that Pinky confessed to the police that she did not intend to kill her daughter. She admitted to being overwhelmed by ongoing domestic issues and frequent arguments with her husband. On that fateful Saturday, she took out her frustration on her daughter without realizing the fatal consequences.
Pinky and Rahul also have a four-year-old son named Rishabh.
