PUBG Murder Case: Teen Killed Mother Over Her Affair, Not Game Dispute

PUBG Murder Case: Teen Kills Mother Over Her Affair with Another Man

In a shocking incident from Lucknow, a 16-year-old boy killed his mother on June 4 while his father was away on duty. The boy later showed his father the dead body during a video call on June 7. The body was kept locked in a room for two days.

At first, police said the teen killed his mother with his father’s licensed revolver because she did not allow him to play PUBG. But now, new shocking facts have come to light.

A family member claimed the PUBG story was made up by police to cover up the real reason and hide the true culprit.

The boy was sent to a juvenile home after the police registered an FIR under Section 302 (murder).

According to the boy’s statement to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), his mother was having an affair with a ‘property dealer uncle’ who visited often when his father was not home. When the boy told his father, the parents fought, and his mother hit him. The boy said he was angry with his mother from then on.

One day, the property dealer came for dinner, and the boy told his father again. His father replied, “If I were you, I would have shot her.” When the boy asked what to do next, his father said, “Do whatever is on your mind.”

The boy also said that after his mother lost Rs. 10,000 and he was wrongly beaten for it, he wanted revenge. One night, while his mother and sister were asleep, he took the pistol and shot his mother. After the murder, his father initially cursed him but later said there will be “peace” at home.

Police officer Additional Deputy Commissioner Qasim Abidi said the boy threatened his 9-year-old sister not to tell anyone. He also used a room freshener to hide the smell of the body.

Meanwhile, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) chief Narinder Batra denied recognizing or promoting PUBG after the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) raised concerns about the game.

The boy shows no remorse and told the magistrate he is ready to face the death penalty. He said, “I killed my mother with a pistol and partied the whole night with my friends.”

Family members claim the boy is falsely accused and that someone took advantage of his anger toward his mother to commit the murder.
