Relatives of Husband Can’t Be Charged Under Section 498A IPC for Advising Wife to Tolerate Cruelty, Rules Bombay High Court
The Bombay High Court has ruled that relatives of a husband cannot be charged under Section 498A IPC merely for advising the wife to endure his cruel behavior. This decision came after a review of a case where the wife alleged physical and mental abuse, leading to two miscarriages. The Court found that advising tolerance does not equate to committing offenses under this section.
