Lawyer Abuses Security Guard in Noida, Sent to 14-Day Judicial Custody
A woman from Noida, identified as Bhavya Rai, was sent to 14-day judicial custody after she was caught on video abusing and misbehaving with a security guard in her housing society. The incident occurred at Jaypee Wish Town, Sector 128, Noida, and led to her arrest.
The Incident
The altercation reportedly began when the security guard delayed opening the gate as Bhavya was taking her car out of the parking area. The situation escalated quickly, with Bhavya verbally abusing the guard.
Karan Chaudhary, another guard who recorded the video, explained:
“The security guard was a little late in opening the gate, and the woman created a scene. I rushed to the spot, recorded the incident, and informed my senior.”
The police were notified, and a complaint was filed by the security guard.
Legal Action
Following the complaint, Bhavya Rai, a lawyer by profession, was booked under Sections 153A, 323, 504, 505(2), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Bharti Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police, stated:
“A case was registered against Bhavya Rai, and her vehicle was brought to the police station. She has been arrested.”
Housing Society’s Response
The housing society officials have taken steps to evict Bhavya Rai from her flat. Treasurer Anshu Gupta confirmed:
“We contacted the owner of her flat and are working on evicting her. The renter has cooperated with us. It appeared she was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.”
Bhavya relocated to the society in May 2023, and this incident has prompted the residents to demand strict action.
Current Status
The FIR was registered at the Noida Sector 126 police station. While Bhavya has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days, investigations are ongoing.
