Mumbai Man Dies by Suicide After Harassment by Wife and In-Laws

A 32-year-old man from Mumbai, identified as Satish Ghodke, allegedly ended his life after facing constant harassment from his wife and her family. Police have registered a case against four people, including his wife, at the Vimantal police station in Pune.

According to the police, Satish had been married to Shubhangi Ghodke for nearly seven years. Their marriage had ongoing problems due to frequent arguments, mainly because Shubhangi repeatedly questioned his character. She reportedly did not want him to live in the village and insisted he stay in Pune and find a job.

Unable to bear the stress, Satish left Pune on February 27 and tragically died by jumping in front of a train at Kurla railway station in Mumbai.

A complaint was filed by Satish’s father, after which the Pune police filed a case against Shubhangi Ghodke, Vijay Mali Patil, Jayshreebai Mali Patil, and Ganapatrao Mali Patil.

The case is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
