Mother Kills 6 Children by Throwing Them Into Well After Marital Dispute in Maharashtra
In a shocking and tragic incident in Maharashtra, a mother killed her six children by throwing them into a well following a marital dispute. The horrific incident occurred in Kharavali village, located about 100 kilometers from Mumbai.
The 30-year-old woman, identified as Runa Sahani, reportedly took this extreme step after allegedly being beaten by her husband’s family members. Runa, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had been living in Maharashtra for the past 10-12 years. Her husband, a mason, worked for her husband’s previous employer, and the incident took place on land owned by the employer.
In the evening, the employer noticed Runa near the well and questioned her. Shockingly, she confessed to throwing her six children into the well. Authorities were immediately notified, and the bodies of the children—Roshni (10), Karishma (8), Reshma (6), Vidya (7), Shivraj (3), and Radha (1.5 years)—were recovered from the well.
While the reason behind this extreme act remains unclear, the police noted that Runa had argued with her husband the day before the incident. She has been arrested and charged with murder.
