Man Ends Life After Harassment from Wife and In-Laws

A 32-year-old man from Mumbai, identified as Satish Ghodke, allegedly died by suicide after being constantly harassed by his wife and her family, who frequently questioned his character.

Case Details

The incident led to a police case registered at Vimantal police station in Pune against four individuals, including Satish’s wife, Shubhangi Ghodke, and her family members—Vijay Mali Patil, Jayshreebai Mali Patil, and Ganapatrao Mali Patil.

Marital Disputes

According to police reports, Satish and Shubhangi had been married for nearly seven years. Their relationship had become strained due to frequent arguments, as Shubhangi allegedly doubted Satish’s character and pressured him to leave their village to work in Pune.

Tragic Incident

Feeling overwhelmed by the harassment, Satish left Pune on February 27 and died by jumping in front of a train at Kurla railway station in Mumbai.

Ongoing Investigation

Based on a complaint from Satish’s father, Pune police have registered the case and are continuing their investigation.

This tragic incident highlights the severe emotional toll of unresolved family disputes. Authorities are working to bring clarity to the situation and deliver justice.
