Man Ends Life, Blames Wife and In-Laws for Harassment
A 32-year-old man from Mumbai, identified as Satish Ghodke, allegedly died by suicide due to constant harassment from his wife and her family. The Vimantal police station in Pune has registered a case against four individuals, including his wife, Shubhangi Ghodke.
Satish and Shubhangi had been married for almost seven years. According to the police, the couple frequently argued over petty issues, with Shubhangi often doubting Satish’s character. She insisted that he leave their village and move to Pune to find a job.
Unable to bear the continuous harassment, Satish left Pune on February 27 and ended his life by jumping in front of a train at Kurla railway station in Mumbai.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by Satish’s father. The Pune police are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
The registered case includes Satish’s wife Shubhangi Ghodke, Vijay Mali Patil, Jayshreebai Mali Patil, and Ganapatrao Mali Patil. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the circumstances leading to Satish’s tragic decision.
