In a disturbing incident from April 2022, a man from Thana, Lakhanmajra area, was subjected to brutal assault by his wife and in-laws. The man, who had an argument with his wife, faced severe abuse when she called her mother, sister, and two brothers to intervene.
According to reports, the in-laws tied the man’s hands and legs, beat him with sticks, and applied red chili powder to his genitals. The victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately admitted to a hospital, where his condition remains critical.
The victim revealed that he married a woman from Jind 12 years ago. Shortly after their marriage, his wife abandoned him. After nearly 12 years, she returned unexpectedly, leading to an argument when the husband questioned her sudden reappearance. The argument escalated when the wife summoned her family, who arrived and attacked him violently.
Neighbors intervened and rescued the man, but not before he suffered serious injuries. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
