On February 20, an Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) constable reportedly committed suicide in Chanakyapuri. The deceased, identified as 33-year-old Yogeshwar Reddy from Bellary, Karnataka, was stationed at Nehru Taramandal in Chanakyapuri.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepak Yadav confirmed that Reddy shot himself in the chest with his service weapon. He had returned from leave on February 5.
A suicide note was discovered in his almirah, but its details have not been made public. An officer mentioned that the suicide appears to be linked to marital problems.
