In a heartbreaking incident from Newtown, West Bengal, an IT employee tragically ended his life by jumping from the 14th floor of a multi-storey building. The deceased was identified as Rajarshi Dutt, aged 34, a resident of Siliguri and an employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
According to police sources, Rajarshi lived in a rented apartment in the Eden Court building in Newtown. Early in the morning, security personnel heard a loud noise and later found Rajarshi lying in a pool of blood. Authorities were immediately alerted, and the police arrived promptly. He was rushed to Bidhannagar Sub-Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Initial investigations suggest that Rajarshi was experiencing mental distress, possibly due to the loss of his father six months ago. However, the exact reasons behind his tragic decision are still under investigation.
