IT Employee Jumps from 14th Floor in West Bengal’s New Town

In a tragic incident in New Town, West Bengal, an IT employee reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the 14th floor of a high-rise building. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Rajarshi Dutt, was a resident of Siliguri and worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

Incident Details

Rajarshi Dutt lived in a rented flat in the Eden Court building in New Town. Early in the morning, security personnel heard a loud noise and discovered Rajarshi lying in a pool of blood. They immediately alerted the police, who arrived swiftly and transported him to Bidhannagar Sub-Hospital. Sadly, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Possible Reasons

According to police sources, Rajarshi had been suffering from mental depression following the recent loss of his father six months ago. The police from New Town Technocity Police Station are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic event.
