IAS Rohini Sindhuri and IPS D Roopa Transferred After Social Media Dispute

The Karnataka government has transferred IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri and IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil after a public fight on social media over private photos. Neither officer has been given a new posting yet.

The Controversy Behind the Transfer

The dispute began when IPS D Roopa accused IAS Rohini Sindhuri of misconduct and shared personal photos allegedly sent by Sindhuri to male officers.
Sindhuri dismissed the allegations as false and baseless, claiming that Roopa was acting out of personal hatred and needed mental health support.
Both officers lodged complaints against each other with Karnataka’s Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma.

IPS Roopa’s husband, IAS officer Munish Moudgil, was also transferred.
Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra condemned their public behavior, stating that action will be taken against both officers.
