Guwahati Doctors Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Minor Daughter

According to reports, child rights activist Miguel Das Queah, the chief of UTSAH (a child rights organization), had previously received multiple complaints about the couple. Sources claim that the couple allegedly abused the child on multiple occasions. Reports suggest they even tied the young girl on the rooftop of their apartment complex as a form of punishment. There are conflicting reports regarding the child’s origin. Initially, the couple stated that they had adopted the child. Later, they claimed she was their biological daughter, born through IVF. Some sources speculate that the child might have been from Dr. Islam’s previous marriage.
