A 35-year-old man from Gurugram allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room, streaming the act live on Instagram. His wife has accused his female friend of blackmailing him and forcing him to take this drastic step.

The tragic incident occurred on September 12 in a hotel in Sector 38, Gurugram. According to Neeru, the wife of the deceased, her husband Vikram had gone to the hotel at the invitation of a female friend to celebrate her birthday.

During his time there, Vikram allegedly hanged himself while broadcasting it on Instagram Live. His wife claims that the woman blackmailed him using objectionable videos, repeatedly threatened him, and ultimately forced him to commit suicide.

Accusations Against the Woman

Neeru alleges that the woman demanded money from Vikram and threatened to leak private videos online.
She further claims that the woman was present in the hotel room at the time of the incident but did not stop him.
Media reports state that the 20-year-old woman, originally from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, left the room before Vikram took his own life.

How Did the Incident Come to Light?

After Vikram’s Instagram Live video surfaced, the woman reportedly informed the hotel staff, who then called the police. The woman currently resides in a rented flat in Sector 39, Gurugram, and works for a real estate company.
