Heartbreaking Incident: Grandfather Jumps from Building After Being Denied Meeting with Grandson

In a tragic incident from Pune, Namdev Sarodia attempted suicide by jumping from a building after being denied a chance to meet his grandson. Namdev and his wife had visited their son’s home to see their grandson, but their estranged daughter-in-law, Shalini, forced them out.

This heartbreaking event occurred four years ago, between November and December 2018. Recently, the police registered a case after Namdev’s son, Sandeep Namdev Sarodia, filed a complaint against his estranged wife. A case has been registered against Shalini, her mother Manilata Sharma, and her brother Shekhar Sharma. The complaint was lodged at Chaturshringi police station.

Sandeep and Shalini had divorced due to family disputes. In November 2018, Sandeep’s father went to Shalini’s house to see his grandson but was pushed out by her and her family. Despite being sick, Namdev expressed his desire to meet his grandson, but the in-laws did not allow it. This deeply affected Namdev’s mental state, leading him to jump from the fourth floor of a building after writing a suicide note.

Sandeep explained that the complaint was delayed due to waiting for the letter’s report and because his mother was undergoing treatment at the time. The case has now been taken up by the authorities, seeking justice for Namdev’s tragic experience.

This incident highlights the severe emotional toll family disputes can take and underscores the importance of addressing such issues with compassion and legal support.
