A shocking crime has been reported from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her boyfriend and another male friend. After the murder, they buried the body and built a septic tank over it to hide the evidence.
The woman, identified as Neetu, and her boyfriend Harpal have been arrested by the police. The third accused, Gaurav, is still on the run. The victim, named Satish Pal, had been missing for over a week before the police discovered his body near a construction site in Bisrakh.
The case came to light when Satish’s brother filed a missing person complaint, prompting the police to begin their investigation on January 10. Initially, the police found no leads. However, they grew suspicious of Harpal, who often visited Neetu and Satish’s home.
When questioned, Harpal confessed to the crime. He told the police that he, Neetu, and Gaurav had planned and executed the murder. Their motive was to remove Satish from their lives so that Neetu and Harpal could marry.
On January 2, Neetu allegedly spiked Satish’s drink, causing him to pass out. After that, Harpal and Gaurav strangled him to death. The trio then buried the body in a plot of land where they planned to build a house and constructed a septic tank over the burial site to cover up the crime.
Based on Harpal’s confession, the police arrested Neetu and Harpal, while search efforts continue for Gaurav. An FIR has been registered under Section 302 (murder), 201 (destruction of evidence), 34 (common intention), and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
There were initial rumors that the crime was inspired by the Bollywood film ‘Drishyam’, where a similar cover-up is shown. However, DCP Vishal Pandey denied any connection between the film and the real-life crime.
This brutal case has shocked the community and raised concerns about growing domestic violence and criminal conspiracies in personal relationships.
