In a shocking incident from Faridabad, a 22-year-old boy was gang-raped by four men on Friday night. The main accused, Rakesh Sherawat, a friend of the victim, was staying at an OYO hotel at Chimni Bai Chowk. Rakesh had claimed the hotel belonged to his friend.
According to the victim’s statement, Rakesh called him, complaining of severe chest pain and asked him to come over. Initially, the victim declined as he was busy, but Rakesh pleaded, saying his condition was worsening. Concerned, the victim went to the hotel to check on him.
After about an hour, Rakesh offered the victim a cold drink. Soon after consuming it, the victim felt dizzy and could not move. Rakesh then asked him to undress, which he resisted. Rakesh forcefully undressed him and called three more boys to the room. The victim then fell unconscious. When he woke up in the morning, he felt severe pain in his private parts and tried to escape, but couldn’t. Rakesh took the victim’s phone and called a family member, demanding ransom for his release.
In a bid to escape, the victim jumped off the balcony. Nearby bystanders saw his condition and helped him reach the police station. However, the officer in charge did not register his complaint and blamed him for the incident. He was made to wait at the station for more than an hour.
After a few hours, the police arrested Rakesh Sherawat, but both the victim and the accused were detained, and the police were initially unresponsive to the victim’s statement. It was only after about nine hours that the police informed the victim’s family, who then took him to the hospital as his condition was deteriorating.
The victim and his family are now demanding a thorough investigation and strict action against all the accused involved in this heinous crime.
