Delhi – A woman sub-inspector working with the Delhi Police has been caught on CCTV assaulting her elderly father-in-law inside his home in Laxmi Nagar. The disturbing footage shows her repeatedly slapping him, even in the presence of local police officers, who did not take any immediate action.
The incident happened in the Laxmi Nagar area, and the woman officer is currently posted at the Defense Colony Police Station. The video clearly shows her wearing a yellow dress, accompanied by her mother, who also entered the house with her.
Despite being a police officer herself, the woman’s violent behavior was not stopped by the officers present at the scene. Later, based on the CCTV footage, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges for voluntarily causing hurt.
Officials have confirmed that the concerned department has been informed and departmental action is being considered against the accused officer.
