Sonepat, August 22, 2022 – A Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) named Satish Kumar allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself at an open plot in Brahmanagar, Sonepat. The incident has shocked many and raised serious concerns about family disputes and mental health.
A suicide note was found at the scene, in which Satish Kumar blamed his in-laws for his death. He wrote that they had taken ₹15 lakh from him but did not return the money. Instead, they filed a false case against him, pushing him to take this extreme step.
Based on the note and the statement of Satish Kumar’s son Pankaj, the police have registered a case against five people from Kateveda village in Delhi. These include his father-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. The charges are under abetment to suicide, confirmed Inspector Vazir Chand, SHO City Police Station.
Pankaj told the police that his mother had passed away in 2020, and since then, the family had been dealing with financial stress. He said that his maternal uncles borrowed ₹15 lakh from his father but never paid it back. Instead, they allegedly turned against him with legal threats.
The case is under investigation, and police are gathering more evidence to take the necessary legal steps.
