Delhi Cop’s Daughter Arrested for Injuring Valet Parking Attendant with Car

On October 16, the daughter of an assistant commissioner of police in Delhi was arrested after a valet parking attendant was injured by her car at a mall in Saket. The police confirmed the arrest after the incident occurred around 9:35 pm.

The complainant, Ram Ashish Kumar, a resident of Pilanji village in Sarojini Nagar, stated that he was on duty when the accident happened. He had just driven a car out of the mall’s basement parking to return it to a guest. As he stepped out of the car, an i-20 vehicle coming from the same basement hit him, injuring both his feet.

In his complaint, Kumar explained that his colleagues rushed him to Max Hospital for treatment. He added that he didn’t file the complaint immediately as he was waiting for his family members.

Chandan Chowdhary, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), confirmed that Kumar is still undergoing treatment at the hospital. “On the day of the incident, the complainant didn’t give any statement, but after receiving his complaint, a case was registered under sections 279 and 337 of the IPC, and an investigation is underway,” Chowdhary said.
