In a bizarre incident in Khandaya village, Aligarh, a newlywed bride injured her husband after biting him while intoxicated. The event took place in August 2022. The injured husband reported the incident to the police and lodged a complaint against his wife. He claimed that she frequently uses various intoxicants and causes disturbances when drunk.
According to the husband, his wife consumes alcohol and cannabis. On the night of the incident, around midnight, she abruptly woke from a deep sleep and began arguing with him. During the altercation, she broke her bangles, slammed his head against the wall, and then bit him on his hand and chest, causing injuries. She also threatened to harm his elderly father. Following the violent episode, the husband contacted the police and requested to be separated from his wife.
The police have initiated an investigation based on the husband’s complaint. They have registered a case and stated that further action will be taken as the investigation progresses. The husband has also submitted a formal application to the police, detailing his wife’s intoxicated state and abusive behavior.
