Bengaluru Woman Kills Mother, Hides Body in Suitcase, and Takes It to Police
In a shocking incident, a 39-year-old physiotherapist from Bengaluru killed her 71-year-old mother, stuffed the body in a suitcase, and took it to the police station to confess.
Crime Details
The accused, Sonali Sen, is originally from West Bengal. She lived in an apartment in Bilekahalli, Mico Layout, with her husband, son, mother Bibha Paul, and mother-in-law.
According to the police:
- Sen first gave her mother 30 blood pressure tablets.
- When she lost consciousness, Sen strangled her with a dupatta.
- She then placed the body inside a suitcase, along with a photo of her mother.
- Sen took an auto-rickshaw to the Mico Layout police station and told the officers:
“I have killed my mother. The body is in the suitcase.”
Investigation Underway
A police sub-inspector registered a murder case, and Sen was taken into custody. Authorities are investigating the reason behind the crime, with domestic issues suspected as a possible motive.
A relative stated,
“She was her parents’ only child and had been taking care of her mother for five years after her father passed away. The victim had some medical issues. At the time of the murder, her mother-in-law and child were in the house but in another room.”
The police are conducting further inquiries to determine the exact motive behind the murder.
