In a horrifying incident from Nashik, Maharashtra, a woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her 3-month-old daughter. The shocking reason behind the crime was that the mother did not like people commenting on how much the baby resembled her husband, according to the police.
Initially, the woman, a resident of Gangapur Shivar, claimed that another woman entered their house on Monday evening, made her unconscious using a chemical, and then killed her daughter by slitting her throat.
However, CCTV footage and other evidence did not support her claim. As the investigation progressed, police found inconsistencies in the woman’s and her relatives’ statements.
After being interrogated, the woman confessed to killing her daughter. She admitted that she was deeply upset by her in-laws’ constant remarks about the baby’s resemblance to her husband. The police are continuing to investigate the case.
