In a shocking case of revenge, a 21-year-old engineering student in Telangana beheaded his friend, cut open his stomach, and ripped out his heart. The brutal murder was reportedly carried out as revenge for his friend’s alleged harassment of his girlfriend.
The incident occurred on February 18 at Pedda Amberpet, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The victim, a 22-year-old student from Mahatma Gandhi Engineering College in Nalgonda, was identified as N Naveen.
The accused, P Hari Hara Krishna, later surrendered to the Abdullapurmet police and confessed to the murder. The victim’s family held protests at the police station, demanding justice for the gruesome crime.
During police interrogation, it was revealed that Krishna and Naveen were former classmates. Naveen had previously been in a relationship with the girl, but after their breakup, he allegedly began harassing her with calls and messages. Krishna, who had started dating the same girl, decided to take matters into his own hands.
On February 17, Krishna invited Naveen for a get-together. After dinner at Krishna’s house in Dilsukhnagar, they spent hours roaming around the city. In the evening, Krishna offered to drop Naveen at his hostel in Narketpally, Nalgonda. Instead, he took him to a secluded area in Pedda Amberpet, where he purchased a knife and consumed alcohol.
In the early hours of February 18, Krishna strangled Naveen with a rope, then beheaded him and ripped out his heart. He also mutilated the body by severing the victim’s private parts and fingers before abandoning the remains.
The crime was discovered after Krishna surrendered to the police, and a missing persons report filed by Naveen’s family helped uncover the gruesome details. Krishna has been arrested on charges of murder, destruction of evidence, and violations of the SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
